Garlic as a member of the Alliums (onion) family has so many benefits for the heart. Garlic benefits the skin. It works against infections and
can deal very well with blood pressure. 
Garlic is considered to be the most effective of the onion family. The strongest when it comes to healing and medicinal properties.

  2. Garlic helps with the flu, effective against catarrh and cold.
  3. Garlic is believed to fight off evil spirits. Research hasn't confirmed this yet o.
  4. Garlic is used as a skin lightening agent by few. My question though is how they manage to get rid of the smell before adding to skin care products.
  5. Garlic can still be used even when it has started to germinate.
  6. Garlic is heart healthy. Great for the heart. This is oe food our hearts ;love to enjoy daily.

  8. Reduces plaque build up in the arteries.
  9. Store garlic unpeeled, in it's natural form away from other foods, in a cool dark place.
  10. The flavour of garlic is only intense just after cutting or mincing it.

Garlic originated from South Asia and has been grown for as long as 5000 years. 
China is the biggest consumer of Garlic in the world. If you doubt me, check Chinese recipes. Tell me which one doesn't have garlic as an ingredient. Garlic is an ingredient found in most Chinese recipes, onion too. They even have onion soup to show China's love for the Garlic onion family. 

The garlic we consume in Nigeria comes from Sokoto State. Other Northern Nigerian States that cultivate garlic in commercial quantities are Kano, Kebbi, Jigawa, Bauchi, Katsina and Zamfara States.
